My name is Joy Shen, a designer who create innovative and empowering experiences that foster ownership and bring joy. You might also know me as Yuechen 悦辰, my Chinese given name.
As an experience enabler, a strategic system thinker, and a resilient owner, my goal is to design experiences that connect people, elevate teams, and push boundaries.
With a dual background in Information Science (UX) & Communication from Cornell University and MFA Design and Technology (UX) from Parsons, I blend technical understanding with data-driven, human-centered design principles.
I've applied these principles while reimagining and crafting experiences at AMA Career AI, SLB Software Technology Innovation Center (STIC), and Design Consulting at Cornell (DCC).

I fill gaps where I'm needed and bringing life to parched spaces. My calm surface belies the depth beneath – reflective, clear, and capable of profound transformation when given time and space.
I offer gentle and encompassing illumination.
I reveal hidden possibilities in what seems like darkness. Just as the moon influences the tides with invisible pull, I work within systems and people to create movement toward positive change.
